Installing the Publisher Edition

in Your Web Pages

  1. Test your page to make sure that it works well with SetSee, using the Personal Edition.  It must have at least 25 identifiable items for SetSee to work with it (the default for the MinItems parameter in the Personal Edition is 25, and the hard-coded minimum in the Publisher edition is the same, 25).
  2. The free Publisher Edition can only be used on 5 pages within any domain.  If you exceed that, you will get this error when the 6th page loads:

If you need to use it on more than 5 pages of your website, contact us for licensing discussions.

  1. Insert this snippet of JavaScript code near the top of the HTML file for your web page.  The URL prefix used in the src= parameter of the snippet defaults to  https://  but must match the URL prefix that your page is accessed with: both should be https or http and not differ from each other.  The best location to place the snippet is just after the ending </head> tag and before the beginning <body> tag of the HTML:
  2. Upload the page to its usual place on your website.  Visitors to your page will see the SetSee panel already open (with a Help link, but not a Preferences link, since visitors can choose no preferences, which are only offered in the Personal Edition):

    (The
region and item counts will depend on your page, though there must be at least 25 items.)
